More On SPC APAAD and ALPAMaking the "Fair Treatment Act" fair is a suitable goal. Voiding it is not. Good input, yours! I'm glad Cort published it. I totally agree. Best regards, Bob (opinion of one) I sincerely believe there is NO ONE in SPC who in any way wants age 65 overturned or any who made the 13Dec07 cut to be put out to pasture. I do indeed feel it is best if we work collectively to make this a fair law for all pilots. Remember Mark Zenner "Press on" Cort I find it very interesting that we seem to be starting to all push in the same direction - and it seems to be the result of APAAD's amicus curiae. From the individual emails I've seen, we seem to all be in agreement that the current law should not be reversed or made "null and void." I believe all APAAD members would support SPC's efforts if they were certain that the SPC goal was not to overturn their hard-earned achievement. APAAD, myself included, does not want any pilot forced out of the cockpit. But, if the "Fair Treatment Act" (we hate the name, too) were made "null and void," many pilots could be harmed.
I can agree with everything Bob Gibson said in his email. Making the "Fair Treatment Act" fair is a suitable goal. Voiding it is not. Despite the couple of typos, I think the brief was well-written and appropriate. Regards, Stan Sutterfield BigJetCity.com |
