A RetractionU-Turn Readers: In the last U-Turn we made the statement that: In last summer’s East Vs West lawsuit, the East used ALPA DUES MONEY and an ALPA-Approved attorney, Roland Wilder, to pursue the case. As far as we can determine, we had to use our own Merger Fund money to defend ourselves. Thanks for choosing sides, ALPA! Two subscribers have questioned that statement, so we took another look, going back to our original sources. While Roland Wilder was the East's attorney, it appears that the East Merger Fund paid all or most of the legal bills involved in that East MEC Vs West lawsuit. Maybe this year's DOL LM-2 forms will shed further light on the issue. But for now, U-Turn is printing this retraction, with our apologies to ALPA, the former East MEC and attorney Roland Wilder. When we made a mistake, we do own up to it. This is a case in point. If anyone thinks that a U-Turn is either biased or factually inaccurate, please let us know. The U-Turn
